Terms and Conditions
1. General
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the services provided by LNM Movers PTY LTD (“We,” “Us,” “Our”) to you, the customer (“You,” “Your”). By using our moving services, you agree to these terms in full.
2. Services Provided
We offer moving services that include, but are not limited to, packing, furniture wrapping, transportation, and unpacking.
3. Quotes and Estimates
Quotes provided are based on information provided by the customer and are subject to change if additional services are required or if there are discrepancies in the provided details.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of the move or as specified in the signed contract.
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.
- Late Payment: A late fee may be charged if payment is not received by the due date, and we reserve the right to suspend or cancel services in the event of non-payment.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Access and Parking: You are responsible for ensuring that the moving team has access to the property, as well as adequate parking arrangements for our vehicles.
- Insurance: You are responsible for insuring your belongings during the move. We offer limited liability coverage, but additional insurance options are available upon request.
5. Liability
While we take every precaution to ensure your items are handled with care, we understand that accidents can happen. To provide you with peace of mind, we include Goods in Transit Insurance as part of our services, which covers the full value of your belongings during the move.
This insurance protects your items against damage or loss while in transit. Please note that the coverage is subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy. For any specific queries regarding the insurance, we are happy to provide additional details.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Cancellation: If you cancel or reschedule the move less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, a cancellation fee may apply.
- Rescheduling: You may reschedule the move with at least 48 hours’ notice without penalty, subject to availability.
- Protection of Personal Information (POPIA Compliance)
In compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), we take the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. By booking our services, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data, including your name, contact details, and address, for the purposes of providing our services.
- Data Collection: We collect personal information necessary for booking and delivering services.
- Data Use: Your personal information will only be used for the purposes of providing services, billing, and communicating with you about your move.
- Data Storage: We will store your personal information securely and will not share it with third parties unless required by law or necessary for the completion of your move.
- Right to Access and Correction: You have the right to access and request correction of your personal information in accordance with the POPIA.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold LNM Movers PTY LTD harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising out of your failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or any third-party claims related to the move.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved through the courts of South Africa.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you before the provision of services.
